Inspired by "The unknown masterpiece" by Honoré de Balzac I interpreted the sensual description of the painter, who describes his masterpiece: an abstract depiction of an ideal woman, perfection, liveliness and truthfulness of a woman hidden beneath many layers of paint - clearly recognisable to him. 
Desire, beauty, projection, subjectivity and illusion are the aspects that inspired me. Now twisted: a woman, covered by a woman; veiling herself, pretending - a teasing game between observer and observed.
